Tip: If there’s one sure way to make love grow, it’s to confess love. Whether you want love to grow in your marriage or your life as a believer, these are the best Scriptures to speak. Where possible, try saying with word “I” instead of the word “love”. For instance, instead of “love endures long and is patient and kind.. love is not rude,” say, “I endure long and am patient and kind… I am not rude…”
Romans 5:5 [KJV]
The love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
The God-kind-of love is in me!
1 Corinthians 13:4-8 [NKJV]
4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;
5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil;
6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;
7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
8 Love never fails.
[Amplified]
4 Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy; is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily.
5 It is not conceited—arrogant and inflated with pride; it is not rude (unmannerly), and does not act unbecomingly. Love [God’s love in us] does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it—pays no attention to a suffered wrong.
6 It does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail.
7 Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances and it endures everything [without weakening].
8 Love never fails—never fades out or becomes obsolete or comes to an end.
[NIV]
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
7 It always protect, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails.
[J.B. Phillips]
This love of which I speak is slow to lose patience—it looks for a way of being constructive. It is not possessive: it is neither anxious to impress nor does it cherish inflated ideas of its own importance. Love has good manners and does not pursue selfish advantage. It is not touchy. It does not compile statistics of evil or gloat over the wickedness of other people. On the contrary, it is glad with all good men when Truth prevails. Love knows no limit to its endurance, no end to its trust, no fading of its hopes: it can outlast anything. It is, in fact, the one thing that still stands when all else has fallen.
1 Corinthians 14:1 [NKJ]
Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy.
I put love before spiritual gifts. The anointing is on love. The Anointing flows where Love goes. I will let love lead. The greatest expression of love is giving. I’m quick to forgive & quick to give. I am ever ready to believe the best of every person. I’ll just walk in love, praise God, keep the victory, & keep on shouting! Love can never fail!
